David Parver, M.D.
Dr. Parver received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. He completed his internship in internal medicine in the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore Residency Program, affiliated with Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He then completed his ophthalmology residency as well as his two-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He has served as a past president of the Washington DC Metropolitan Ophthalmology Society. He also served for 5 years as the young physician head of the Montgomery County Medical Society and 2 years on the board of the Washington National Eye Center at the Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Parver has had several peer-reviewed articles published in various scientific journals, and he is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a consultant to the Ophthalmic Devices Panel of the Medical Devices Advisory Committee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. His areas of expertise include macular degeneration, diabetes, retinal detachment, and uveitis. Dr. Parver is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
