COVID-19 Practice Update
A Note to our Patients
The physicians at Retina Consultants are dedicated to providing superior eyecare in a safe environment. We are monitoring Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association and local guidelines in relation to COVID -19 and will continue to adjust practice patterns based on current data.
Here are some of the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and physicians.
Courtesy calls – Patient will be contacted prior to their visit to verify the time of appointment and screen for COVID-19 symptoms. Please do not come to the office with any symptoms that may be associated with COVID-19. If you have any concerns, please alert us prior to your visit.
Waiting room – Cleaned at regular intervals through the day with seats arranged for social distancing.
Personal protective equipment – The use of face-masks is optional at this time. If you prefer your provider to wear a mask, please ask us.
Telehealth – Telehealth and phone visits can be performed when appropriate, please contact our office if you are interested in this type of visit.
Fluidity – The physicians and managers monitor government guidelines, weekly appointments, and staffing issues in order to make changes to the schedule to ensure your safety. This can result in late notice of appointment changes. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and assure you there are no fees to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
