Alan G. Palestine, M.D.palestine

Dr. Palestine received his degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. Dr. Palestine went on to complete a fellowship in Ocular Immunology at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Palestine has authored over 150 scientific articles.


Leonard M. Parver, M.D.lparver

Dr. Parver received his degree from McGill University School of Medicine He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Royal Victoria Hospital and his fellowship in vitreoretinal Surgery at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Parver is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and Professor of Ophthalmology at Georgetown University. He is also Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins. Dr. Parver is the author of numerous scientific articles.

David L. Parver, M.D.Parver2

Dr. Parver received his degree from The Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins-Sinai Hospital Program in Baltimore, MD. Following his internship, he completed a three-year residency in Ophthalmology and a two-year Fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Parver authored a chapter in a textbook on retina disease and he has had articles and abstracts published in peer- review literature.  Dr. Parver has presented research at national ophthalmology meetings and lectures throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area on diseases of the retina and vitreous and uveitis. He recently completed a term as President of the Washington DC Metropolitan Ophthalmological Society. He holds teaching appointments at Georgetown University and the Washington Hospital Center.

Robert F. Stephens, M.D., F.A.C.S.stephens

Dr. Stephens received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and completed his internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology and his Fellowship in vitreo-retinal disease at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Stephens is Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons,and was an Examining Ophthalmologist for the NIH Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Vitrectomy Studies. Dr. Stephens has authored numerous scientific articles and text book chapters.


Jordan L. Heffez, M.D.

After graduating from Cornell University, Dr. Heffez received his medical degree from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. As a resident in Ophthalmology at Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans, LA, he was honored as Chief Resident of his class. Dr. Heffez completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and was awarded a scholarship in the Mentoring in Ophthalmology Fellows Program. He has significantly contributed to numerous scientific publications; is active in several instructional courses, lectures, and workshops; and is currently involved in clinical research as well as resident and fellow education at the Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center Ophthalmology program. Dr. Heffez is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

Fadi P. Nasrallah, M.D.Nasrallah

Dr. Nasrallah is a Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.  He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at George Washington University and his fellowship in vitreo-retinal Surgery at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, a Harvard Eye Hospital in Boston. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Retina Society.  Dr. Nasrallah is actively involved in teaching and research, and has authored many original scientific articles.
